In October 2013, the (now defunct) downloads website “Mecho Download” suffered a data breach that exposed 438k records. Data included email and IP addresses, usernames and passwords stored as salted MD5 hashes.
If you ever had an account at Mecho Download and used that password somewhere else, just change those passwords. A password manager is always recommended to ensure passwords are unique. Since the site itself is defunct, there’s nothing else to do here.
